Experimental Teaching Equipment for Mechanics of Materials and Fluid Mechanics

1.Strain Field Display and Measurement Teaching Equipment

The strain field display and measurement teaching equipment is designed according to the engineering mechanics syllabus and consists of an optical platform, a three-dimensional DIC measurement device, an electronic universal material testing machine, a server and three-dimensional DIC strain measurement software.

The strain field display and measurement teaching equipment is suitable for classical metal tensile experiments, measuring the strain magnitude of low carbon steel materials at specified points under different mechanical loads, measuring the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio, and helping students to familiarize themselves with the method of visualizing the three-dimensional DIC strain measuring instrument and the electronic universal materials testing machine at the same time. The equipment can also be used for metal shear, drop weight impact, thin-walled specimen vibration mode, temperature field deformation field coupling measurement experiments, etc.

2. Flow Field Display and Measurement Teaching Equipment

The flow field display and measurement teaching equipment is designed according to the undergraduate fluid mechanics syllabus and consists of a circulating water tank, a resisting fluid, a laser, a CMOS camera, and the RFlow 2D2C software.

The flow field display and measurement teaching equipment is suitable for classical vortex field experiments, which can observe and identify the vortex and vortex-free flow in the flow field of airfoil resisting fluid, measure the velocity field in the flow field of airfoil resisting fluid, and help students to be familiar with the use of visual hydrodynamics equipment to capture tracer particles and present the vortex structure in the water flow field. The equipment can also be customized for low Reynolds number cylindrical bypassing experiments, low-flow aquatic organisms fluttering wing bionic experiments, and so on.
